The conference will be held at the Congress center Academia in Stará Lesná, Slovakia, which provides excellent conference facilities.

Stará Lesná is situated at the foot of the peak Lomnický Štít in the eastern part of the mountains Vysoké Tatry (High Tatras) in Slovakia. It is located on the border of the Tatra National Park in a nice quiet place not far away from Tatranská Lomnica and Starý Smokovec.

The hotel Academia provides double-occupancy en-suite rooms each with free WiFi Internet access, TV, radio, minibar, and balcony. Furthermore, the hotel provides the hotel guests with free parking. The place offers good conditions for hiking and other sports activities.

By plane:
You can fly to Poprad-Tatry or use airports in Bratislava, Košice, Vienna, Budapest, or Kraków. Vienna airport [Schwechat] is close to Bratislava city, you can take a bus or train to Bratislava and continue from there. From Bratislava and Košice airports you can use public transport to go to the Railway or Bus station. Several operators provide regular minibus connections from Budapest airport to Košice, and from Kraków airport to Poprad or Tatranská Lomnica.

By train:
There are frequent trains both
   – from Bratislava (direction Košice) (it is about 350 km) and
   – from Košice (direction Bratislava/Prague) (about 120 km)
to Poprad.
In Poprad you have to use trains of Tatra Electric Railways (TEŽ – Slovak abbreviation; walk up to a special platform) to Starý Smokovec and then to Tatranská Lomnica. You have to get off at the stop "Stará Lesná – Rázcestie". To get to the hotel, walk for about 1.5 kilometres southward (down the hill). You will see a sign which reads "Kongresové centrum SAV" on your left. (The village of Stará Lesná is a further kilometer to the south of the Congress Centre.)
Tracks of the Tatra Electric Railways operate with a self-service transport system. You have to buy a ticket in the ticket office and validate it in the stamping machine on board.

By bus:
From Poprad, take the bus to Stará Lesná. The bus station is adjacent to the railway station. (See the national express website cp.sk for details of trains and buses.)

By car:
If you travel by car, the hotel ACADEMIA is located on the road Poprad – Veľká Lomnica – Stará Lesná (the village). If you come from Poprad, about 1 kilometer behind the village of Stará Lesná, there are three large storeyed buildings (Horizont, Kontakt, ...) on your right. The last one is the Congress Centre. You will see a sign which reads "Kongresové centrum SAV".
Conference participants will be able to use the parking lot in front of the Congress Centre Academia hotel entrance. Parking should be free for conference participants.
